BABY JEWEL FUNDRAISER
|
Jewel was born on the 24th August, 2011. She has had numerous hospitalisations due to her continuous problems with Bronchilitus and pulmonary hypertension, which Doctor's are unable to find the cause. Jewel has to have 5 trips to Melbourne for R.S.V. immunisations, which are not available in Tasmania, the first of her immunisations began on 17th May. We are hoping these will help to keep her out of ICU, as her Cadiologist said it would be deadly serious if she got Bronchilitus, due to her heart not being strong enough to cope with the operation they are wanting to perform. Jewel also has a heart problem. |

What a fantastic night the BrightStars had at the "Fundraiser for Jewel" auction and trivia night at the Devonport Cricket Club. The BrightStars performed Footloose, You Cant Stop the Music and of course for an encore our old favourite, Spice Girls! (always makes Nick happy?) The night was wonderful and was enjoyed by about 100 people with our members making up two tables, staying on for the trivia and even though we didn't win we had a great night. Picked up a few auction items on the way. (I certainly enjoyed the sparkling wine!!) Around $6500 was raised for the lovely family of Craig and D'Ayrne Chugg and of course Baby Jewel, who so kindly fell asleep in my arms whilst all the chaos of the auction was run by lovely John Ackroyd.......she was definitely a Jewel that night!!!! |
